Mr. William C. Dudley is the 10th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In that capacity, he serves as the vice chairman and a permanent member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the group responsible for formulating the nation's monetary policy. Federal Reserve FOMC members will vote on where to set the nation's key interest rates and their public engagements are often used to drop subtle clues regarding future monetary policy. Due to participate in a panel discussion, along with Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Narayana Kocherlakota, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Charles Plosser, and Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Eric Rosengren, about economics at the Federal Reserve Banks at the American Economic Association Conference.
